About Veronica Heitsch, MD, MBOE
Dr. Heitsch is a rheumatologist providing compassionate care to adults living with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. She takes a thoughtful, collaborative approach to care, focusing on understanding each patient’s experience and creating treatment plans that support both daily life and long-term health.
Dr. Heitsch completed advanced training in both adult and pediatric rheumatology at The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children’s Hospital, following a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics. She earned her medical degree from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, and holds a master’s degree in business and operational excellence from The Ohio State University.
With a strong background in quality and patient safety, Dr. Heitsch is committed to clear communication, shared decision-making, and making complex care easier to navigate. She is passionate about building trusted relationships and helping patients feel informed, supported, and confident in their care.
